That’s okay, Mr. Penny. Just so you know. We never wash those gowns. I took that one with me on that charitable trip I made to Tanzabrador to treat the poor lepers.
I went to a specialist whose office policy was to “Demand Payment at Time of Service.” I told them I have an HRA that pays the balance, but they wanted me to pay up front. I told them, the last time that happened the HRA paid the doctor and they ended up getting paid twice, and it took me forever to get a refund. They still made me pay. I went back 10 days later for a follow-up, and showed them my account page that showed they were paid and asked for a refund. She told me “Just because they issued the check doesn’t mean we’ve cashed it.” I said “I demand refund at time of issuance.” She wasn’t amused. Then they applied my refund to that visit’s co-pay. I made a huge stink to no avail. After like 4 weeks I got a check in the mail. I told the doctor about it when I saw him, and he said he’d look into it. Even the insurance company talked to them and told them how ridiculous this was, but no dice. The clerk was very irate the next time I was in. I told them I wouldn’t be back.

Has he only had his coverage for one day? Otherwise they don’t pre-exist…

Since when does a married middle aged couple go together to the doctor? Creepy.

If I was that doctor, Mr. Penny would be getting a shot with a very long, very thick, very blunt needle, in that fat bare butt of his.
