I really got nothin to say here, and I’m damn well not going to say it, so don’t even try to make me! But as I’m here anyhow, maybe Joy has a point. . . Perhaps a parking meter by each seat?
Not quite……shoplifting’s what you guys do when you visit eateries brimming with condiment packs, napkins, plastic forks ‘n spoons….oh, and hotel/motel stuff that’s not chained down….that too…….
I worked at Borders for several years before they went bankrupt and I saw how people would take magazines off the rack, read them, and put them back all the time. The worst thing I saw was the time I saw someone I knew who’d grabbed the newest Robert Jordan Wheel of Time novel off the shelf and started reading it while sitting in one of the easy chairs just outside of the instore coffee shop. He read the book all through the day, buying snacks and drinks in the coffee shop whenever he got the munchies and then left the book behind when he was done. I happened to pick the book up when he was done and between the damaged spine and multiple food stains the book was basically unsellable once he was done. The funny thing is that it would have been cheaper for him to buy the book and take it home so he could read it there and eat snacks and drinks he bought at the store.

Are those “customers” allowed to take that reading material into the store’s restroom?

Fictional biography. Now there’s a genre you don’t see much of.

Those two read? They strike me as chronic TV watchers.
