Trouble is that if we only bought things that were truly necessary, the economy would collapse, and then we’d have no money to buy the luxuries.
There’s a downside to everything,guys. Some are downer than others.
Technically, that’s what people actually do. First they run out and buy a bunch of crap, then they give it away.
Maybe the Catholic Church could move Christmas to where it belongs, in the spring. That way we could give up Christmas for Lent.
