A real plugger will know where to get his film developed. But since the film was expensive, he’ll try to use it only on the “good” pictures instead of just shooting them willy-nilly.
Just finished off a roll for a friend who didn’t know how long ago her late husband started it. Frustrating thing was, you couldn’t get the film out until the auto-rewind at the end of the roll, and ended up wasting shots until it was done. Problem there was that she had to pay for all the wasted prints. .BTW, she got it developed at CVS.
I haven’t used a film camera for many years, but I don’t use my phone camera either. The quality just isn’t there. Besides, I don’t have a “smart” phone, so there’s nothing I can do with phone pictures except text them. My little digital camera with the big screen is perfect for me.
A friend of mine(who is younger) was complaining about getting her cell phone pictures “printed” and how much it costs. She has a top of the line computer and printer.

The phone cameras are good, but my husband still prefers a camera. He has however upgraded years ago to digital & keeps up grading!

Since a lot of the picture quality comes from the lens, go with the camera.

A true plugger wouldn’t have a cell phone, or at least one capable of taking pictures…

A true plugger wouldn’t be on vacation. They would be working!
