Laura, you nailed it. Adam is quite an emotional man when it comes to pain. We are all like that. Women are so much more tolerable to pain.

I think Cronkers is correct. Most men are big babies when it comes to minor illness. My Late and Unlamented always had whatever I had, but worse. I once came down with a strep throat, and he swore he’d had one “all last week, but you didn’t see me stay home from work”.
Trouble was, when he did get sick nobody paid any attention.

Men need to be careful when enduring pain compared to women. I had a friend tell me he asked his wife what type of pain she endured during childbirth. She told him, “Pull your lower lip out as far as you can stretch it.”
To which he replied, “Well, that isn’t so terrible… anyone can do that!”
After which she replied, “Now stretch it up over your head!”
