One time, at church, an older lady told me that she had slipped & fell on the ice, but didn’t get hurt. She was really surprised. That inspired this:

Pillow the Cushioned Angel

When walking on an icy pathYou slip and slide and fallBut other than a bump or bruiseYou don’t get hurt at all

There are some special angelsAll soft and plump and strongThey try to keep you safe and wellWhen your steps do go wrong

The leader of this angel bandWho leads them on their wayIs sweet and full of loving careAs she works day by day

They call this angel PillowAnd go where e’er she sendsShe looks for that one wrong-way stepAnd that they try to mend

So when you fall and there’s no hurtYou know it’s not a dreamIt’s Pillow the Cushioned AngelAnd her angelic team
