Danae is not just funnier than Clem. She also never takes any actions that would physically harm anyone, and she doesn’t help herself to all available brownies, cookies, cake, candy or whatever.
Danae just has a very negative world view and considers herself not subject to the ‘bad’ parts of life, like having to attend school, for example.
If I had to pick which kid I’d rather have in my life, it would be Danae. Clem would be such a downer that I’d probably leave town rather than be stuck with him…

I like Clem! The villain you love to hate, and remember, he’s still just a kid. Kids are often mean and selfish.
