Never saw it as an honor. and depending on the teacher it was either a punishment or your job for the week.

Back in the days, I always thought that when a teacher ordered you to pound the erasers was just so that he/she could get a break from you. Too bad Charlie Brown lives in a time where white boards weren’t used yet.
