My daughter had someone pull up next to her and make that ‘roll down your window" motion and she had no idea what they meant! Also kids don’t know if you point to your wrist that you are asking what time it is. What’s a watch? : )
The van I drive has roll-down windows. The problem is that it does not have roll-up windows. The window goes up about 90% of the way, then sticks. If you use 2 hands, you can get it closed, with a lot of effort. Anyone that thinks things can’t go wrong with manual windows is mistaken.

Guess I’m crazy to keep manual windows, but I’ve had to replace a motor on other cars, and it’s expensive.

They also get confused when they say on TV ’Don’t touch that dial’.

I was wondering the same thing. And I’ve found that drivers (and passengers) of all ages actually respond to it properly.
