I have been asked to announce that THIS year, there will be no follow-up “Guess what’s under Ernestine’s dress” contest. Apparently, last year many readers responded with answers not entirely in the spirit of fun for which the contest was intended. Please feel free to speculate instead about what might be underneath the dog’s collar. Thank you for your consideration.

I know the story of the collar. Scully wanted to use Bob the dog because he had the perfect dog body. However, Bob refused to smile. So Scully tried Charlie the dog but Charlie had that bladder problem. So Scully took Bob’s body and Charlie’s face and threw them into MS Paint. Unfortunately, they didn’t line up very well, so one collar later and nobody can tell the difference.

The dog has a cat tattoo under his collar..And I know we’re not supposed to speculate what;‘s under Earnestine’s dress, but I don’t have to speculate. I KNOW. It’s the same thing we all have under our clothes. It’s her skin! Hey, we’re ALL naked under our clothes, right?
