I think Cleo has a great mask. It fits her personality more than you might realize.

    Old joke.

Shut up, Claude: your nose isnā€™t properly covered. Iā€™ve seen too many of those jerks yesterday on public transport.

    Welcome, everybody!

    Look! Itā€™s a brand new stripā€¦. featuring the now Covid-19-aware Clifford familyā€¦

    for the July 27th Ā 2020 ā€œCLEO and COMPANYā€

    Ā

    Catch it on Sherpaā€¦

    http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy

    NOā€¦ _NOT_the virusā€¦ the Cliffords out for a walk.

    Ā

I agree with Farside about Cleoā€™s mask fitting her personality.

In fact, Iā€™d say it unmasks her more than it masks her.

    Ā

The problem is, it might not ā€œmaskā€ her at all, as a virus shieldā€¦

not if itā€™s anything like the Chinese dragon masks I knowā€¦

cos those have wide-open mouths and eyes, with nothing to cover your breath, in or out.

Then againā€¦ dogs can apparently get infectedā€¦ but itā€™s rareā€¦ but arenā€™t believed to be carriers.

    Yet.

    Ā

Claude will need to pull up his mask a tadā€¦

but only when he starts to get closer than 6 feet to another person.

Weā€™re required to wear masks hereā€¦ indoors in any public spaceā€¦ but not outdoors, IF itā€™s easily possible to maintain 6 foot distancing.

    Ā

We were doing very well, until the county started to ā€œopen upā€.

As soon as we had indoor dining, bars and gyms againā€¦

and families gathering, even in small groups, for things like birthdays and the Fourth of Julyā€¦

(all without me, of course) ..

it came roaring back, and far surpassed the first wave.

    Ā

    Meanwhileā€¦ Iā€™ve seen some nice mask designsā€¦

not a dragon, yet, but other creatures.

Some were crocheted, tempting me to make one for myself..

but crochet is loose, and not a good barrier, unless itā€™s lined or stuffedā€¦

and then how do you breathe?

Hard enough in a disposable ā€œsurgicalā€ style mask.

Good Morning Ballardeers! First pulmonary doc appointments on day 136 of self quarantine. Wish me luck.

I donā€™t have a dragon mask, but I have a purple dragon with a blue mask holding a HUGE bottle of hand sanitizer on a T-shirt that says EW. PEOPLE! And my Social Distancing mask. Guess what Iā€™m wearing to the doctorā€™s office? Anyone? Bueller?

Yā€™all take care of the ones out there. (((((HUGS!)))))

Good morning, C & C-ites. I really like Cleoā€™s mask! Just like her to one-up the humans. I can see this strip on Saturdayā€¦ā€¦hmmmm.

In a way todayā€™s ā€˜toon can be a nostalgia piece. Weā€™ll look back on it in about a year and think about all the Q days. Not very fondly, Iā€™m sure.

You might not like it, Claude, but I think the rest of us do. I keep thinking about what movies are going to be like when they make them about this period in time.

    Iā€™m BAAAaaaack!

Tech was happy. He tells me stuff that Iā€™m not sure heā€™s supposed to.

Doc was happy. Says Iā€™m stable(?) Everything is the same as 8 months ago. He had a smile on his face and said weā€™re going to keep doing what weā€™re doing.

If anyone wants to comment on stable, go for it. Ainā€™t nothin gonna ruin my mood today. (Other than Iā€™m back in the house again)

    YaY! I"M STABLE!!!

Thanks for the crossed fingers my friends! Itā€™s working.
