The medals on her table are in recognition of his faults. Apparently he’s not interested in wearing those.

Not bad. Not bad at all.

    His last words? “Kibblecorn.”

That’s one of her biggest faults, by only recognizing faults in others.

    Wow…

and welcome Cleo followers and movie fans…

or movie followers and Cleo fans… anybody who likes a good movie poster…

Cos there’s a great one from StelBel in

the July 28th  2020 “CLEO and COMPANY!”

… it’s on Sherpa, and it’s what brings us here!

    Especially me.

I had a long day, for me, and I kinda specialise in_short_ days lately.

Then I fell asleep… so, frankly, I was going to skip out on the comics tonight.

    So what does StelBel do?

She does a poster for one of my all time favorite films…

one often voted by critics the best movie ever made!

I can’t skip out on a brand new poster for “Citizen Canine!”

OMG…the images from this movie are stuck in my head forever!

Canine as a young pup. Canine as a tail-waggingly eager young newspaperman… bright-eyed and ….well, not exactly idealistic…

and a portly publisher, and scandal-plagued would-be politician.

And this is the film where, as a teenager, to the horror of my friends, I fell for Joey Mutten.

OK, maybe not Joey Mutten, himself….

But his character… Puppediah Leland… loyal friend, and keeper of Canine’s conscience.

“Susan,” they would say (cos that was my name back then, too)…

    “He’s not attractive!

He was the evil uncle, in ‘Shadow of a Snout!’"

But … that scene, as he types his true opinion of Canine’s mate, alone in the newsroom… till…

OK, no spoilers… cemented him in my memory…

I love the name “Puppediah” to this day.

Orshound Welles himself was brilliant and dynamic… after a wild upbringing, he succeeded at everything, very very young.

He co-wrote, directed, and starred in Citizen Canine at only 26!

    Tigressy… your link won’t work for me…

Is this your human version? Not many actually copied Stel’s.

Good Morning, Ballardeers and Citizen DROOB! Day 137.35 and still (physically) stable.

Windows open in the 60s and lower humidididididity.

I love today’s poster as I loved the human version in the theater. 2 classics in one day…. Not sure I can handle it.

Y’all be safe out there. Stable (((((HUGS!))))) for all!

And the sequel, the return of the zombie cats. They want to eat basset brains. Only 5 more months to go before they don’t fix Sherpa again.

kudos to the Cleo and Company make-up department for their exemplary work in the transformation of Orson Welles into

a basset hound…….or was it the other way around?
