Choc Drops (or maybe something similar) have been around for a long time! I remember this doggie treat when I was a very little girl. My brother convinced me that it was real chocolate and gave me one. Mom was not amused.
Anyone who reads this strip online should have realised by now that this is a UK strip and that various forms of safe ‘choc’ drops are available – see above. Every time Alex Graham mentions them someone in the US rises to the bait. Then again, maybe he doesn’t read the comments. However, I’m with “neveerenoughgold”. This needs to stop. We’re fed up with being preached at.
I am sure those who visited previously and understand these “over the pond” treats are completely safe are not a problem. It is the “newbies” who are either infrequent visitors or never visited before, and fortunately or unfortunately there are many in this group…
some of you know about chocolate being deadly. why get so uptight? no one is preaching at anyone. when the reminder is posted it’s not meant for those who know but to educate those who do not. Hopefully more newbies will find Fred. if the information saves even one dog Bless this cartoon for giving a platform for passing on the warning.

I wish Alex Graham would choose a different brand of treat for Fred, so we don’t have to go through this “chocolate is bad for dogs” crap every time…

Just like “Frosty Paws”, ice cream for dogs.
