Hey, you gotta go with what the people wanta watch. After all, it’s the news BIDNESS. Free market and all that. (Bill O’Reilly claims creditability from popularity; sorta like porn.)
Of course, they are both getting a fair amount of time for their sensation and outrage act. There is a reasonable question about whether or not this will end up being a good thing for either. That said, the “brand value” of both has got to be going up. A lot, if one believes Mr. Trump’s evaluation.Which prompts me to propose a Federal Brand Value Tax of 25%. Or, more.
News slanting: All the news channels except Fox said the recent Fox GOP debate ratings were the second lowest of the debates. Fox reported that their ratings were the second highest of any Fox show ever. Probably both true, but certainly different.
(BTW, Trump has no principles beyond the random squirting of his immediate hormonal surge. Hard to assign that a place on any political spectrum.)
“But Trump might say something over here”. Yeah, and a septic field might implode over there, too. Oh, wait…same thing. Difference is, with an umbrella you might avoid the septic effluence. With Trump, nothing helps.
Ted Cruz is definitely not a better alternative to Trump:https://www.tedcruz.org/news/cruz-for-president-announces-endorsement-of-mike-bickle/http://www.motherjones.com/mojo/2016/01/ted-cruz-welcomes-endorsement-guy-who-thinks-god-sent-hitler-hunt-jews
Trump has apparently admitted to the NYT editorial board that, when the sheep look bored, he throws out some red meat to keep them worshiping him. Wonderful, the banality of evil.
Trump is a leftist; the Cruzers have a great montage video of Donald talking about his beliefs. The conservatives are Cruz, Fiorina, Rubio, Carson, Bush, Gilmore, and Santorum. Paul is a consistent libertarian. Huckabee, Kasich, and Christie have baggage.

Bernie says he’s a nationalist Socialist. Like Adolf, but not interested in Europe.
