Still plenty of coal coming from private lands, time to reduce federal leasing indeed. Also at $30 a barrel, tar sands from Canada can’t come even close to breaking even, so piping ’me to Texas for refining and export is doubly stupid.
Coal is dying because it is no longer profitable. Payne is in favor of destroying the environment by dumping mountaintops in streams and endangering miners’ lives by unscrupulous mining companies.
