Well at the moment there isn’t anything we can do about the BAD, but we can prevent the WORSE by not voting for the GOP in November, because they will make things worse so that they can get back into power in 2012, and then repeat the Bush years.

In the past two years the GOP has proven that they are not the answers to our problems, they are the problem.

They would rather leave millions of Americans out of work then work with the DEMS to create jobs.

Let’s see .. health bill, check. Financial reform, check. Problem with firing that poor lady … well, at least America saw that it was in response to despicable lies from Faux News … first term approval ratings bad but still better than Reagan’s … looks like going from great to not so good but good enough …

”. health bill, check. Financial reform, check. ”

Eh, I’d say half check. He’s gotten something, probably better than nothing, but he hasn’t exactly managed to turn the US around.

I’d say it’s not too bad, but is it good enough? We’ll see in 2012.

I and others like me are in a better position than we would have been otherwise, so I’d say, given my only real options, doing Okay here.

How can it be possible for so many of you not to recognize that actions have consequences. Economy in terrible shape, unemployment is disastrous. We need to get everything moving. We need to get private business to,start hiring.

So what did Obama and the Democrats do?

    A) pass health care law which will raise “taxes” on every business on every employee. So if you are an employer why hire new people?

    B) pass 2000 pages of regulations on banks and lenders. So what do smart bankers do? they invest rather than lend. No money out there and no new jobs.

    Actions have consequences.

And there we have Jade, 4uk, Warren complimenting the Dems and then asking why there are no new jobs. Unbelievable!

I complimented them on their progress with equal rights: there should no longer be a story of 2 loves separated while one falls into a coma and dies in a hospital because of a failure to recognize their relationship; transgendered individuals can get passports denoting their identified sex so they are no longer harassed at airports; firing gays or transgendered individuals from federal jobs for no reason other than their orientation is now illegal; and, though I’m not holding my breath, he hasn’t challenged the anti-DOMA ruling from Mass.

But I have a question for you, Libertarian1, if the actions of the Dems are so bad… why didn’t our economy do anything but skyrocket under the Bush administration. He cut their taxes and culled regulations… so why aren’t businesses booming right now? Why were the high-tax days of Clinton so much better for the vast majority of the country?

^ You are really totally correct. The problem is Obama said, while campaigning, I understand the problems, know what to do, just watch me. He then said if you do what I ask, I will create jobs and keep unemployment below 7.5%. Not only was he tragically wrong but the opposition knew he was wrong, would not succeed and said so in advance. You were so in love with the Messiah you ignored common sense.

TIG - Thanks to Bush I am very well off, so I don’t have to pay taxes. Bush may be gone but his loopholes and write-offs remain.

    RUN SALLY RUN, MR. PRESIDENT!

I sit here in Hollister, CA. and hear negative comments about Michelle Obama….. who ever they were making these comments knew something was wrong! Was it just the gender switch or were they insightful enough to see that this man is an arrogant ass.. Too bad the male arrogance that exists in the powers that be were not identified oh say 50 years ago!

    Who is being MOCKED?

In the END it is a war of GENDER ….. NOT RACE!

Are females the weaker sex? Yes, because they are not winning this war….. and the war is over!

Are males who manipulated these females EVIL AND MEAN? Yes, because all females are mocked, and the males have won the war of the sexes… and become King of their societies mountain!

MY - The truth is not negative or postivie it’s just is.

I post the truth, the reactions are negative or (sometimes) postive because the posters don’t want to deal with the truth because it would mean they would have – well THINK.

Presidential ratings at this point in the election cycle don’t mean much. Right now the man in charge is every-one’s pinata. Wait until he has an identifiable opponent also being scrutinized and criticized. Then we’ll know.

    TRUTHS:

Bush was President for 8 years, during that time we were attacked by terrorist and over 3,000 Americans died.

Bush invaded Iraq, which had nothing to do with 9/11, did not support terrorist, and, after ordering his security staff to come up with the reasons to invade Iraq, Bush looked at them and said “Is this all you got?” and still invaded Iraq.

While Bush was President the economy imploded and millions of Americans lost their, millions of small business went out of business, thousdands of large corporations went out of business, and many banks failed.
