Alice: What happened to your nose? Petey: Well- Petey: We got our math tests back. Loris Slothrop got an A+ with a smiley face. This made her really, really happy. Petey: About 20 rubber bands shot out of her hair, many in my direction. Loris: YES! Petey: I told the school nurse I was mauled by a wolverine on the playground as the reality was too embarrassing. Alice: I want rubber bands in my hair!

Alice, until you are more like the frenetic and fast Loris Slothrop, all the rubber bands in your hair would do for you is hold it in place. Not everyone has the power to launch rubber bands at will (or at Petey)!
