June: After looking at hundreds of paint chips... and buying 31 different paint samples... I have finally decided on a color for our living room. Beige!
Ralph: Now now... Let's not get too adventurous!
One of my neighbors has deep red walls. I could never be that adventurous even though they look nice. Mine are white now but I’d love to change to an aqua.
I painted a nice color that I created. (Mixed together different colors until I found what I wanted.) Sort of a clay color, but a little lighter. Not too dark, not too light. Still neutral so I can use whatever colors I want to use in my decor. Thankfully, the paint stores now have machines that can analyze a sample to match it. Their match was pretty close, but I had to stop my created color at a corner, so that you can’t tell they aren’t quite identical. It was much easier than looking at hundreds of their paint chips, especially for someone with artistic abilities.
“Green side up!”.(You can Google the joke, but I wonder why I only find it as a “blond” joke. Long before “blond” jokes became popular I heard it from a Norwegian friend, and the punchline said “Swedes”, not “blonds”.)

it looks to me that they have magic paint already. Their walls changed from orange to purple to yellow all within one minute!

Like I said. Dirt coloured. Offers no emotional context and never needs cleaning.

I still have flashbacks of people asking for specific colors for their houses! Oh the horror!

Someone told me that all-white/ivory/creme interiors will slowly over a long period of time drive one nuts..
