Happy Caturday everyone! MCTS, great pics today, especially the Canadian cat and the white cat opening the cage.
@Ppyfss – Pam, I hope your unpacking is coming along, and that you are doing OK. I also hope you are not in the path of that big storm hitting the Eastern States.
For all of you being hit by the storm, hang in there, it will pass eventually. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that nobody loses power.
Yum Yum had a cat fit this morning, knocked down the living room sheers, upended my african violets, and unmade the bed. Now she is playing sweet and innocent, with her best “who, moi?” expression.
Eldo just noticed a comment you made last night Granny Dean (Dry). If I interpreted that correctly, I am not Granny Dean, have always been Dry since I signed up, although originally I went by Drystyha, but shortened it.
@Queen of America Did you ever climb Cowles mountain? (pronounced Coles). I did once back in the day. I got about half way up and told my family to go on I would just wait for them. I set down on a rock watching people stream past. A man with his daughter and son was going past. I watched them come up for about five minutes. The little girl was about six and in a dress. The boy was about eight and a little overweight. His little sister would rum up the mountain about fifty yards them run back down and tease her brother about how slow he was. I watched this repeated until they were out of sight .I’ll bet that little girl climbed that mountain at least two or three times just running up and down. Finally a decided I would finish the climb. Today, on week ends, about two to three hundred people make the climb up the mountain.
I feel so bad for all the people out in the snow today. We’re having an early spring (maybe) with highs in the mid to upper 50s and a little rain………sorry.
Glad the pictures were well received, I didn’t check on here until 11:05 GMT and saw there were no posts so I thought I’d fill in for a bit. Got a bit carried away and stopped at 25 posts….Here’s hoping everyone stays safe and warm during the snow conditions. @Pam things will get better from here on in, the hardest part is over, good job you had your hips done when you did!
Snow forecast keeps changing….expect @24". The wind has created high drifts already. Mark goes out periodically to shovel walk and steps. I pushed porch door open a few times or soon it won’t open at all. Go out you say…..not us….the dog did his business on front lawn a number of times and the wind nearly tipped him over. Poor guy. Kids are having time of their lives sledding down back driveway. Tomorrow we will snow blow that hill as well as behind our garages. Can’t really complain as this is the one (and hopefully only) storm we’ve had.-—————————————————My gosh but the pictures are magnificent today. My fav is the black kitty giving the raspberries to the tiger….ppffffffffff to one and all.-—————————————————-Queen: Looks like Jake and Carbon will pal up sooner than later. I LOVE hearing about them…still can’t believe that kitten is now an aristocat.
Pleasant weather for January here in the UK, a bit of sun and not too cold. Boston seems to be just on the northern edge of the storm over on the east coast of the US, they may get about 3-5 inches. My cousin’s foster, Koji had his eyes removed yeserday. It’s heartbreaking seeing the post-surgery photos. My only hope is that if he was in any pain or discomfort, then he isn’t now. He was neutered and microchipped at the same time. Such a brave boy, and my cousin is a real star for all that she’s done for him.
My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who is getting blasted with this winter storm. I pray that everyone’s power stays on and that y’all stay warm. Hugs, Rose >^..^<
@Queen of America I know the steps, but never climbed them. I have a firm motto. “Never run when I can walk. Never walk when I can stand. Never stand when I can sit. Never sit when I can lie down”. And always ride when possible.
@Queen of America I think those steps are gone. State built two big parking structures across from the University on Collage avenue. The canyon has been allowed to return to a nature preserve.
QOA. I remembered that. I think they got more than we did, to be sure. It is done now, moving east. I can’t complain, it was our first snow of the winter season here, which is unusual but I want my SUMMER BACK! Guess I should move south or west, huh? LOL!

MCTS – you outdid yourself this morning. Thanks! I especially like the shark on the Roomba. So nonchalant.

11 am in Parkersburg, WV, it’s still snowing. 14 inches in my yard. No sign of a snow plow. My cat is going nuts for some reason.

QOA 16 inches and counting here, also in Central PA but a bit further north of your sister, about 30 miles south of State College.

Annie says this is “cat” food, why would I eat “cat” food?
Last Rose Of Summer Premium Member almost 9 years ago
Don’t blame Chesney. Cats have evolved without the ability to taste sweet, and have seven bitter taste receptors making them picky eaters.

@QOARemember I-15 used to be Ward road and 40th street from I-8 south to the Mexican border. Now it is a freeway.
