Andy is beyond the threshold stage in his marriage, besides, it’s been Flo who’s carried him all these years !

Humm, getting back to the strip; that joke is older than Andy Capp!

This is a riff on the old “When I told her to haul ass, it took her two trips” joke.Funniest one these guys have penned in quite a while.

It would spoil the fun if we ever saw Big Betty, since we all have our own personal pictures of her in our heads, of course. But not drawing Pat just seems lazy to me. That might have required four panels, of course, but there’s plenty in the panels that could be left out to squeeze in a bit without harming the “art”…….
