Is that what happened to Wizard of Id Classics?

The least they could do would be to get someone who could do a reasonable facsimile of the old character design. As far as I’m aware nobody is holding a Saudi beheading sword to Mason’s neck forcing him to do thisstrip along with all his other commitments.

The art work is not that important, its the content that matters.Love the sound that that trebuchet makes.

That is a catapult, not a trebuchet.

Where else can you get a rousing “FATONG?”

Well, you have to understand: back in medieval times (and much later, as well!), you basically had to marry whomever your family told you to marry; and then it was stay together or starve. This is also practiced even now, in some cultures worldwide. Truly a lose-lose situation!

would you people stop complaining about the art? Move along, this is not the strip you want to read anymore.

To all those who keep moaning incessantly about the art in a strip that they can read for free, and can easily skip if they want to…

I guess I’ve made my point.

Jeff Parker was the artist, he stepped down on December 14 2015 and gave it to Mason Mastroianni, Jeff is the son of Brant Parker who passed away in April of 2007.

Brant Parker and Johnny Hart were the original artists, they both died in 2007.

As far as I can tell Jeff is still alive.

Go easy -Yeah, I miss the old artist too -we have grown used to the old art. We will just have to get used to the new one (he has his own style) -I wish they would return the classics, though. The content IS more important than the drawing, but never discount the art. The art is a major part of the comic content (not just the words). Otherwise, we would just read a novel.

I took this strip off my list a few weeks ago, this is my first time checking back since then. I can’t believe they still have this artist. Fire him already! If they can’t find someone who can keep the heart and soul and style of this strip going then they need to just end it rather than drag it through the mud like this.

They sure had strange ways of traveling during the middle ages! Take off is cool, landing on the other hand….

Dear Whiners, You have had your whine so either go away now to prove your point or just shut up so we don’t have to hear you repeat yourself over and over.

As long as they still do a tribute to Queen Ida on my birthday, I’m happy.

And there are those who say you’re not perceptive!
