Ain’t that sweet!

The happy ending that most of us were hoping for! (And for you naysayers, just remember that this is a family strip. And, THAT’S a TALKING bear! You want reality, read the front page of the paper, not the comics!)

I thought this would end okay, I posted on Feb.12 that Bear would survive.

YAY!

This is a good outcome!

I wonder if they’re going to explain it. Probably, Bear got a dose of smoke and might have passed out for a short time. He was out, not dead when they got the scrapbook. I doubt if they checked for vital signs. Bear came to and said “it’s past my bedtime.” He then went to his cave and went to sleep. Glad it came out this way.

Next scene: the bear eats the kid.

Forest fire in the middle of the winter while bears are hibernating??

That’s the nice thing about comics, seasons can be mixed up, natures calendar confused. Next thing you’ll see is apples and peaches being picked at easter, and watermelon served at Christmas.

So what caused Boog’s Dad to believe the bear was dead?

Does a bear burn in the woods? Apparently not.

Hooray! This is why I read comics in my old age instead of newspapers!

I’m so glad I waited to see if Bear survived. Thank you, Mr S., I don’t care how you did it (but, I really would like to know, logical or not)!

The day we learn Bear survived, our family lost our boy Briggs the Boston to a sudden attack of a series of seizures. He was an otherwise perfectly healthy little lad, full of happiness, fun-loving and with a heart as big as the Moon.

Good on ya, Bear.
