Like a certain restaurant which claims you are one of the family – but expects you to pay when they invite you over for dinner.
My dad used to try to give my kids a bill when my parents were babysitting my kids when they were young.
I gave my kids “chore bills” on a regular basis for the extra things and activities they wanted …… and it worked.
Just ask for a raise in allowance. It’s not that different.
