Actually, 99% of the population would understand the motivation behind much of Donald’s behavior. He lives with his heart on his sleeve showing the wide gamut of emotions – fear, happiness, jealousy, kindness, envy, politeness, anger and so on. Goody-good-two-shoes Mickey shows only a one dimensional side of himself and he is the one that will most likely implode.
I always find it funny when two completely unrelated strips have something in common. In my personal page, The Grizzwells are right above this, and they made a Donald Duck joke as well.
