Sal: The Motorola urinals are radical, man. Totally out of hand! JJ? Thanks, Sal. People really seem to be responding to them. I think the day-glo hand dryers worked out the best, though. The owner here overheard an art dealer say they were interesting. I just hope the critics are ready for my stuff. Most of them are stuck in 1984, and they... Excuse me, sir. Could you move down one? That one's sold. Man: Oops, sorry.

These scenes raise American eyebrows. Not so in Europe. In Sweden, I’ve been escorted to the urinal by female attendants, and in Germany and Russia, women have mopped the floor nearby while I was using one. (Please don’t infer anything about my hygiene from that last comment!) European women are quite used to seeing men pee.

I wonder if the faces in the lower part of the panels are supposed to be actual people of the time? It was a long time ago and fame is fleeting, but some seem familiar.

How can they be in the men’s room, when you can see a crowd drinking and mingling in the front of the picture? Someone explain it to me.

The great dadaist artist Marcel Duchamp exhibited,or tried to exhibit, a urinal entitled “Fountain” in an international show in New York in 1917 signed R.Mutt. It’s a famous, or infamous, part of art history. So, nothing revolutionary here.

Drumpf has now said there would possibly be riots if he doesn’t get the nomination. Imagine if a certain black candidate had said that 8 years ago.

The guests of honor at the 1984 party took their prizes and offshored them, and we’re still paying for that.

Whatever happened to Mike’s brother “Sal”? Is he that annoying “Red Rover” character now?
