“Katy bar the door” is so old, it was out-of-date before “Cool” became a popular term.

Personally, I still use words like that and I still think they’re cool.

I’ve used that expression, but it’s been a long time. I probably won’t use it again until the cows come home.

It’s been around since 1437, so I wouldn’t count it out after a mere generation or two.
