For my generation…GI Joe WAS a doll. Didn’t want one and never had one. I don’t know how old I was when they came out, but I must have been just pass the age where I would have liked to have one.

So would a Lara Croft Tomb Raider figurine be a doll or an action figure ? :) Got my first Barbie at age 50, always had cheap knock offs as a kid so I bought a Bob Mackie $100 version for my bureau. You are never too old to have a happy childhood.

Never had a G.I. Joe, but I did have a pair of Mattel Shoot-N-Shell silver plated revolvers complete with holsters and gun belt…

When I was a kid in the 60s and GI Joe first came out, I got one for Christmas. I opened the box only to discover it had two left feet. We took it back to the store and got a new one. If only I’d kept it all these years, it would probably fetch thousands on e-bay.
