@agrestic Before you go making a fool of yourself again go back and read what I wrote. I never said white actors were better than black actors, however in this case it seems they were in better pictures. Thatâs the way the grape squishes sometimes. If you donât like it and you think that black actors deserve an award just because they are black go and start your own studio and distribute your own pictures and give yourself all the awards you like. Frankly my dear I donât give a damn. If they give all the awards to black actors. I never see any of the pictures anyway, so I have no strong convictions either way.

My question is. Which movie do you think doesnât deserve to be there. Which actor do you think doesnât deserve to be there and what black actor do you think should replace him or her? Which director, which writer, which make up artist? If you canât name one then you are just saying put a token black guy in there like Chris Rock. He is just a token black.

Oh give me a break, your statement that discrimination is rampant in the larger jobs market is totally bogus. I worked in the Nuclear industry and my son works in the medical field and we can honestly state that a minority that is qualified for either field has an equal or better chance of being hired in our fields. In fact I am unaware of any field that requires a high degree of training to be prejudiced towards a qualified person for race or sex. The one thing that you do see is age discrimination.

Who cares about the Oscars?

âAlarm bellsâ? For what? Getting awfully sick of the R word, BTW. Do you actually think that whoever chooses these Oscar candidates get in a room together and actively and purposely cross off all non-whites? Of course, due to this yearâs continuous poutâ-and the fact that, to be PC, we all âmustâ take it all seriously [or else], theyâll probably never dare have an all-white slate again, regardless of whoever earns a spot on the list. And every non-white person will generate âtokenismâ and speculation of who was cast aside in order to satisfy âdiversityâ.
Whereâs all the accusations about an over abundance of blacks in the NBA/college teams? Geeâ-they must be the best players.

I never watch the âoscarsâ hasnât any Latinos or blacks ever won? Or women? Sounds like a bunch of men too old for the world today.

Broadway offers more diversity and a better representation of American life â so does theatre across the country. Live theatre offers a healthier diet of entertainment; Hollywood is a Big Mac with cheese.
