    I went on a tour this June with a group for 2 weeks, and there was one guy who took over 1000 photos. He just kept taking pictures of everything - it was ridiculous. I’m sure he won’t even remember what half of them were of.

    For all those pictures, WE saw very little of the vacation. What we DID see was days and days of obsessing BEFORE the trip, and looks like days and days of obsessing AFTER the trip. You and I missed the actual fun part.

    I don’t think there was much of a fun part. Irving either played with his gadgets same as at home, or worked, Cathy shopped or ate like at home only worse - apart from a bit of lying about on a beach, I don’t know why they bothered. Young(ish) people with no kids could have done so much more.

    It’s just too easy nowadays to take a ridiculous number of pictures. Back when you had to worry about carrying film around, changing the rolls of film, paying for it to get developed, etc., you gave a lot of thought to what you took photos of. Now, people spend more time taking pictures than actually enjoying the sights.
