As an avid bowler whoâs had 2 perfect games in 15 yrs of bowling I can say that whoever says a turkey is and 3 strikes in a row no matter what frame knows what heâs talking about.
BTW, Wikipedia has it correct, with absolutely no mention of any requirement to be in the 10th frame to be called a âturkeyâ. If it ever did mention that, somebody has corrected it.
A Turkey that only scored 30 points might be said to be in the 10th frame, because if it was earlier, the 2nd strike (and maybe the 3rd) would have also scored extra points.

Wikipedi has an article. Just type â3 strikes in the lastâ and google finishes off with ⊠whats it called
a double is a Barney Rubble, any 3 is a turkey and 4 or more have other names.

The Huns are attacking and thereâs no one manning the walls. Theyâre all at the bowling alley because theyâre on strike.

Turkey is three in a row anywhere in a game. Not just the tenth. Thatâs usually referred to as striking out or punching out.
