Yes, I do.. but I don’t do it in the street and frighten the horses.
Or around children, or on GoComics or in polite company…or in front of anyone who dislikes it
And in spite of my blue language, I’m appalled when I hear teenagers cursing loudly and obnoxiously….which I try not to show, cos it’s exactly the effect they desire.
I’ve only used the F word once in my entire life – at work, and it had exactly the effect it should have had. My boss stood there with her mouth open. The family curse word is “oh, pajamas”. If you’ve dropped the same item on the floor three times, you can say “Oh, PAjamas”. It keeps the kids safe, if nothing else. But No, other than that, I do not curse.
I was known at college for not swearing (among other things), so one time when I stubbed my toe badly and was about to explode an upperclassmen swore for me.
QOTD #2: Here’s the only memory I have of swearing in or around my parents; I was about 10 or so and we were sitting at the Dining Room table eating dinner. I don’t know what exactly what word or phrase I said, all I know is that I was being yanked off my chair and dragged into the bathroom by my mom who then proceeded to scrape a bar of soap across my teeth and tongue. I didn’t swear in front of my mom again until I was in my forties.
I swear, I used to smoke, I drink occasionally, and now, thanks to allergies, I sometimes have to spit. Ain’t life a B?:-).My mother told me that swearing shows lack of vocabulary and intelligence. What I actually learned from her was that when momma is cussing, you best start running.

Nice use of the lamp shade to censor his speech balloon’s unwanted vocabulary.

QOTD#1: Yeah I’m pretty bad although there are certain people I try hard to use more polite language around.

Nope. My mother was a marine and cussed like a sailor. It was, and still is, very unappealing to me. Yes, my mother. Oorah.
