is Alice ever going to get out of the mud if the boys quit stalling?

If they dither long enough the sun will dry up all the mud ; )

They should form a committee to explore their available options.

If I were the boys I would tell Alice to back up to the far side of the manhole cover, flap her arms really hard, and take a running leap so she could fly over the mud to safety. Then run like the wind.

It’s practically transoceanic! Maybe Lindberg or Earhart could rescue Alice and become famous; maybe even Hughes! (You know who Hughes….)

Why is there a manhole cover in the middle of a field? Or do I not want to know? (cue X-Files theme)

I’m wondering now: how DID Alice get out there??

My daughter was stuck in the mud once, she got herself out with grit and determination…and losing her sneakers and socks in the process as well.

She often dances on a manhole cover but I think this time it’s a tree stump.

I suppose Alice hates to get dirty. At that age, I wouldn’t mind getting all muddy at all. Of course I would beat anyone who made fun of my appearance afterwards.
