What hasn’t been mentioned yet is how much this test will be weighted in students’ final grades. It could carry 0 weight.

I’m starting to like Mrs. Olsen a lot more.

The other day I mentioned having students write their own questions — here’s an example from one of my 6th graders:Gwen Stefani has 16 yards of pink ribbon. She wants to make bows that are 2⅔ yards long. How many bows can she make?Other than making some rather large bows, I think the question is rather well thought out. It will be on tomorrow’s test.
