Yes there are many plans for the generations of people that follow us.
Did I even say anything in my post about the rest of the states? Unlike the ultra conservatives such as Lisa, I never disrespect any state in the USA. They all have both their good points, and their bad points. Nothing is ever perfect!!
However, I do get very tired of those that seem to have nothing better to do than disrespect my state of California. How many times have I even seen posts here by ultra conservatives where they seem to want my state to fall into the Pacific Ocean?
California is quite possibly the only state in the USA that could actually go it alone if necessary. We have the only $2+ trillion dollar economy in the USA. In fact, if the other states had as large an economy each, the USA would have a total economy of $100+ trillion dollars. Which would be far larger than all of the rest of the country’s economies of this planet put together! What is even more remarkable, is that even with all of the industry here, we are still the #1 agricultural state in the USA by a great margin!
And this liberal state is also one of the greatest sources of the federal monies that the more conservative and poorer states get to spend. Californians pay $1.00 into the federal treasury and only get back some $0.78 worth of federal benefits.
And while our K12 educational system is struggling (which is the case with most of the states in the USA), our higher educational systems, with the University of California, Stanford University, and the California Institute of Technology, plus one of the best feeder Junior College systems in the USA, is the envy of much of the world, let alone the other states!
Heck, with pro active local and state governments, working together with a thriving private industry, we will eventually even solve our most serious problem of water systems. After all, we do have the largest body of water in the world with a coastline of some 1,200 miles of the Pacific Ocean. And cities such as San Diego are already building the largest salt water desalination plants in the world.
With some rare exceptions, I have lived all my life here, and I do love it. And, I am very happy for those that also love their own particular states, I just wish some of these others would stop complaining about my state!!
yep, like medicare taking an additional $1000 dollars each from my wife’s and my social security check last year. at least with corporations you have a choice whether to spend or not.
“I wonder what liberals want to use to replace plastic?Wood?Metal?”As usual, you’re pretending people are saying something they’re not. The amount of oil we use for plastics & other non-fuel needs is small. And, there are bio-alternatives that are becoming more & more viable. Let’s not forget that we barely bother to recycle most of our plastic. We use far too much plastic for packaging & nonsense that winds up in a landfill.Only an idiot thinks we’ll ever have a plastic shortage.
When prices go down, it’s “Thanks, Obama”. When price go up, it’s “Oil Company greed”. Libs have their Angels and Demons and facts won’t get in their way.

It’s nice living in a normal state where gas is 1.50/gallon. I think the high cost of living is the best argument against liberal policies.

March is the traditional month for the oil companies to start raising prices, even with a glut.
