Ah, I remember fountain pens! Does Nancy hold the type with a bladder or the type with a cartridge? Ironically, by 1964, I think ball-point pens were much more in use.

It may write 15 years if you only use it to jot down a tiny grocery list once a week.

So this comic was drawn in 1949 – the series seems to be going backward. The last time I noticed a date it was 1955. I wonder how far back this series can go?
