I went to the shelter to pet cats yesterday.No kittens.I love playing with kittens, but i must admit that its a good thing when the shelter doesn’t have any kittens.

Good morning, everyone.

Going to be around 60F here in Barrie today, with some rain. I’m going to try to get a nice walk in between showers.

Annie’s right. As soon as it is warm and sunny, I am going to be out every day. I’m so tired of the cold and dreary! Beviek – love the cat and squirrel videos. Last Rose – love the cats sleeping (or not) pictures.

This is Linda Deans son Lennie. I am amazed that my aunt Ruth still had not only the site up on my mothers old laptop, but that it was set for Ten Cats. I was going through their books and found a Red and Rover comic that mom won from GoComics and it reminded me that I neglected to come here and let you know that Ruth passed away. She had a heart attack and while she was in getting it checked out, she had a stroke and died almost immediately. I sincerely apologise for not letting you know sooner but with both my mothers death followed so quickly by the wonderful lady I got to call aunt and then a new baby in the household, time and memory got away from me. Both my mother and my aunt Ruth loved comics, so they naturally gravitated to GoComics and Ten Cats was their favorite and not just because of the comic, but because of the community here. I just spent about an hour going through previous strips and see now exactly what they meant by that. You are all nice people and I am glad that my two favorite women other than my wife, had that sense of other family. God be with you all. Lennie

Oh, and just to let you know, King George and both cats live with us now. The cats guard our new son like sentries. King George, not so much.

I know I’m not really part of the “gang” here but I just wanted to say how saddened I am by Ruth’s passing as well. I have tears in my eyes as I type this. It only seems like last week that Ruth was posting to say that we had lost our Linda.

Thank you for letting us know, Lennie. Linda and Ruth will be missed more than you’ll ever know. But the upside is that they’ll be together now.

Lennie, thanks for passing on this sad news. I don’t know how many sons or nephews would think to do this. My sympathies to you and your family.

LENNIE, I HOPE YOU SEE THIS! You don’t know all our history here, but I am DRY and DUSTY because your MOM and I had a joke going on. She became WET AND SOGGY and I became DRY AND DUSTY! Through the course of that gag, GRAHAM HARROP did a strip dedicated to your mom and I. I have the strip framed and hanging on my wall. It was the Strip from JANUARY 3 2015. If you can go back in the archives you can see it. Or you can click on my profile page It is there as my favorite strip. I kept the moniker Dry and Dusty in honor of your mom. I lost another friend here back in 2010, my profile page comment is dedicated to her, my friend Carmy.

Lennie I understand you not coming here sooner. I gave my sons my info here and made them promise to let my friends at gocomics know if something happened to me. They both told me, “Mom, we will do it, but if we lose you, that will not be the first thing we do”!

Dear Lennie, thank you SO much for letting us all know about your mom and Ruth. Not knowing what happened to Ruth had some of us lately talking about sharing our contact information with other TC fans plus letting, at our end, a friend or family member be aware of the close knit relationship TC fans have. I am gratified to learn that George and both cats are being cared for by you and your wife. Congratulations on your new son and please do check in from time to time with updates.
