We moved from Blytheville, AR to Hope Mills, NC with a side trip to Jacksonville, FL. It was January and we left snow and 20 degree temps in AR. FL temps were probably in the 50âs? Not really sure, but much warmer than AR. We full on begged to go swimming in the ocean but Mom wouldnât let us. All of the Floridians were bundled up like it was freezing and we were in our shirt sleeves and sweating. I was 7 at the time. LOL!
I live in NC west of Charlotte. Itâs warmer here in October that it is in April but youâd never tell it by the way people act and dress. We put in our pool in â85. Iâve been in it every October since. I think Iâve been in it April maybe once or twice.
Hey, here in NJ , it was 78 on Saturday and itâs like 40 now. Fortunately, it âs warm enough that itâs just rainy today. Who knows about tomorrowâŠ.

I was about to say, but Celarius kinda beat me to itâŠ.it also depends on where you are.
The October picture could be labelled Northern California, where I have lived all my adult lifeâŠwe bundle up when itâs 45.
The March picture could be labelled WisconsinâŠwhere, in high school, we threw off our coats and yelled âItâs Spring!â, as soon as it hit 33°.

Itâs all about timing as I like to remind my family when they complain about it being to hot or cold.

After 50 years in Phoenix, I look for a sweater if it gets below 80.

They must be in OHIO.
37 in Oct feels a lot colder than 37 in March. Once you get those bitter days in between, I am surprised he wasnât in shorts in the March picture.

Acclimation. In October, the body is used to much warmer temperatures and by the time March comes around the body is used to much colder temperatures.

There are people in California that dress like its 85â year round. Why? Simply because itâs CALIFORNIA. Itâs a uniform or something.
