I have no problem with Peyton Manning or any other athlete earning as much as possible. I have a problem with this cartoon stating his only motivation was “love of the game.” If that was the case, he would be an amateur, which he was not..amateur
(French amateur “lover of”, from Old French and ultimately from Latin amatorem nom. amator, “lover”) is generally considered a person attached to a particular pursuit, study, or science in a non-professional or unpaid manner.
