Seven minutes.. And nothing. Boy, that is one discouraged looking veggie burger research team, Louie. I know, Raymond. I know.. But if they take the time to come out here, I owe them my honesty, don't I?
We had a Lab/Shar Pei mix when we moved to California. Turns out he actually ate alfalfa sprouts when offered them. Surprised the heck out of us. Then we moved back to Texas, and he quit eating them. Probably because we quit giving them to him.
I was eating veggie burgers, being under the impression that they were healthy for you. THEN I read the ingredients…
TRUE – not all of them at that way – but the ones I liked had more words that I didn’t know and couldn’t pronounce than anything else I could find.
You can make great Vegan burgers with Black Beans or Garbanzo Beans (chick peas), you really can. They even have the texture of meat. Of course, you make them yourself, no processed stuff.
My dog loved veggies. She would come running if she heard the carrot peeler and would pick green beans off the vine. A little Silky Terrier, I miss her, she’s been gone for 6 years now.
I tried “veggieburgers” at my home. It was the ONLY time my hubby refused to eat something (after one bite!) The groundhog who lives in my yard LOVED them. She always came out for peanut butter sandwiches (1/4 sandwich), but she really was pleased to eat our leftover burgers—- ALL four of them. Each one was missing one bite. She ate off the ground and didn’t complain about the partially consumed food at all. “Chubbs” loved it when we shared. ;-D

Any self respecting Lab would eat the veggie burger, and everything (anything) else that was put in front of him!

Little did they know it was a wasted trip. I think Louie would rather take on 3 Tigers.
Good morning, Crew!

Generally speaking, the amount of chemicals and processing required to make vegetables taste like meat is overwhelming.

Wouldn’t be that different if the pirates kept cows instead of dogs!

A veggie burger? For Louie? The injustice of it all!
