Makes me long for the old “i used to walk 5 miles to school and home again” line that my grandfather used.
Drive down any back road and you will see small mom and pop type stores that used to sell gas and candybars that no longer have the pumps because new sleek service centers have put them out of business… a bygone era for sure
I can sympathize with the kids on that bus, when I was growing up we had a bus driver that would take the governers off the bus as soon as he left the garage, (not a good thing) one fall right after i started kindergarden, we had 2 insidents with the bus , both with fully loaded ,first he was going so fast on an old country road that from a complete stop to under a quarter mile later, he bus ran completely over a full size work horse, (all wheels went comletely over the poor animal) so how fast was he going??? the second was he past a little sports car going 75 (knew the driver) like it was sitting on blocks, guess what the older kids taught us when we first started riding, Crash Position, and how to fall asleep as soon as we got on board, less likely to be injured that way.

A school bus rolled into our church van. There was no one at the controls.

This must be a vehicle malfunction. She didn’t know the brakes were screeching.
Don’t school buses have governors on the engines to keep the drivers from speeding

davidf42: A school bus careening down the road with no breaks?
That’s gotta be at least 5 flags.
More flags, more fun!

I had no idea that Peppermint Patty changed her name to Chris & started driving a school bus after “Peanuts”. Good for her.
