As long as I’m paying the bills the light stays on.

Since I have replaced all my incandescent bulbs with CFLs, I will sometimes leave a light on, especially if I will be coming back to that room within 5 minutes. Turning on and off too often wears them out sooner.

I hope to replace some of my CFLs with LEDs, but they are pricey and until I need some new bulbs, I will continue as I am. Did not know that LEDs don’t mind the on/off cycling. Tanks for the info.

Frankly, I’ve never understood why people need to turn on the light in the bathroom – unless they are reading. Nobody moved the commode or the sink, and my plumbing is also still where it’s always been. If you must, a seven watt night light will do the trick.
