Tenacious, for the record, means someone who doesn’t give up; no matter what!

I think at one time or another, all of us have had the pointy-haired type of boss from Dilbert who hasn’t got a clue. One of the many reasons I preferred to work graveyard shifts was that I didn’t have to put up with the brass.I could accomplish more between 2am and 5am then my daytime counterparts could in an entire work day.

The people who worked for me at night were like-minded individuals who were self-starters and required little or no stupidvision from me.

I never did well with the corporate mindsets.

I had a sign in my office, hanging over my desk that read: Does Not Play Well With Others.

I like how the factory buildings behind them match the signs for industrial zones in Europe!

she might have been more upset by her own ignorance = not understanding the term than by what ever she imagined the word meant.

on the other hand, any time someone used a word I don’t know to describe me it’s never been complimentary. That’s how I learned the meaning of “vehemently”

Yes, Chalkie is less lazy than Andy, but he was always dumber.

I had to have a Polio/Diphtheria/Tetanus booster at school. If it was up to me, I wouldn’t have it (I hate needles) but my Mum made me hand the forms in. She probably forged my signature too. Haha.

If someone doesn’t know what a word means, using another form of the same word probably won’t improve the chance they will suddenly understand what you mean!
