I wonder whether Lynne might take the opportunity this time around to change how the story comes out. If you’re living in re-drawn reruns you ought to have that option. I’d be happy to read about a Connie who learns from her mistakes, and a Ted who isn’t such an unredeemable jerk.
Although … both are unique in comics I read, and lord knows they’re real!
Connie may be sarcastically(?) calling Elly “Mom” now … but just wait until she needs a shoulder to cry on when “Ted The Jerk” rears his ugly head, treats her shabbily, then cruelly dumps her for someone else or, perhaps, for no reason at all other than because he’s tired of her (or her son) and just wants to!
Not redrawn, reprinted. That’s like watching the rerun of a drama series episode in which one of the main characters is killed, hoping it will be different the second time.
