A blast from the water hose sprayer also does the trick. We use a small spray bottle in the house with our dogs. All we have to do is pick up the bottle and they behave like perfect Angels.

I thought it was dogs, squirrels and bears that dig in garbage. Cats supposedly just go kill mice or birds…
