in an unprecedented challenge to the president’s nominating authority McConnell has decided there will be no replacement under president Obama. No confirmation hearings, no votes, no meetings. An historic rebuke of the president’s authority and an extraordinary challenge to the practice of considering each nominee on his or her individual merits. McConnell’s 54-seat majority is up for grabs with 24 GOP seats in play and this obstruction will be an election issue, particularly in blue and purple states where Obama is popular. The Senate Republicans are sacrificing their majority on the alter of Ted Cruz by blocking this nomination.

I find it interesting that the same people that had no problem with Harry Reid playing these kind of games cry foul when the republicans do it.

Or for that matter, when Joe Biden suggested the same sort of thing years ago.

Republicans lost any credible respect when Mitch said it would be his duty to see Obama fail…then to make Obama a one term president…now saying no nominations. Republicans are taking their marching orders from a group of people who are forcing the US to look absolutely juvenile.

That’s the Mitchions’ plan for the rest of this 21st century!

The Wrecking Crew sees this as unmitigated success! Let’s get a democracy in this country: viva la Revolución.
