According to current theory, he origin of the universe (the Big Bang) occurred about 14 billion years ago. Now if someone tells a joke right after another kind of big bang (e.g. a fatal explosion or gunshot) one could argue that it was in bad taste to tell that joke so close to the bang. Now getting mad about this Big Bang joke…someone is just too sensitive.
Odd … I saw the comments about a rewrite (missed whatever was originally here), but what I’m seeing is two differently drawn versions (with the same dialog) when I enlarge the strip. Have we gone from Big Bang to Multiverse, or is there a more logical reason for what I’m seeing? And I guess I should ask if anyone else is experiencing this odd phenomenon.

Is Horace in a hot, dense state? Texas, perhaps?

If you have to explain a joke, it’s not really a joke…

Oops, the joke should be about the Big Bang, not the theory about it ( which is some years younger)… I’ll rewrite this

Try that joke in another 13.7 billion years. We might be ready then.
