There is a shampoo that is sold in salons called ‘Rusk’ that has the smell of rhubarb! As strange as it sounds it’s great shampoo and smells just wonderful! :)
Good laugh today. At my age, I dress like I’m built – for comfort, not for speed !I’m not trying to impress anybody. If my wife likes my hair long and my beard full – so be it ! If it makes her happy, then I’m cool with it.
One thing though, that we are both sticklers on is personal hygiene. Cleanliness is not something that retires when you do !
My grandmother used to say that the fox was the last to smell his own scent. The older we get, the more our olfactory senses diminish. We don’t really know how we smell. Our body chemistry changes, as we age.
An expensive men’s cologne that I used for years, no longer smells as good on me, as it used to.
Now, if my wife likes a particular aftershave lotion or men’s cologne on me, I’ll wear it – if not, I give it to one of her sons.
Some older people have a kind of thrift shop smell to them, and that’s because they will take their clothes off and hang them back in the closet to wear another day. They They are from a day of not wasting anything and see no reason to launder something they only wore once. I figured this out when my own mom moved in with us.

I always smell nice when I go out. I love my perfumes! I won’t leave the house without wearing some.
