I’ve left a few comments on here which have been a bit negative about the comedy of these early strips. I’m not a troll, I’m a Peanuts fan, and I’m just fascinated by watching it all develop (i’ve never read these first years of the strip before)Anyway, I just wanted to say this one made me laugh out loud. The strip’s beginning to hit a stride. Thanks, gocomics, for posting them.
Charlie Brown, what is wrong? You can help your depression by helping someone else that might be a little more depressed than you. I live this every day.
I’ve read quite literally every “Peanuts” comic strip ever published, either in the paper starting when I was five or in the “Complete Peanuts” volumes. (I have about 50 of the old paperbacks, but there were always about a third of the comic strips in each volume of the “Complete Peanuts” that were never published before. What I would LOVE would be a book that collected let’s say one comic from the 1st of each month and one from the 15th of each month, for all the years, ignoring story arcs. It would be so much fun to watch the development in such a convenient one-book collection!

The fact that other people might be depressed or otherwise unhappy does not make me glad.
.
The possibility that I might be in the minority disturbs me.

Charlie Brown is more dysfunctional than I ever realized as a child.
