One of the rejected applicants for membership in DC Comics’ “Legion of Super-Heroes” was called Arm-Fall-Off Boy. And he’d have had no trouble “dropping” that gun.
Awkward. On the other hand, I remember running around the neighborhood playing war and cops and robbers with my friends when I was a kid. Great fun but today, people would probably freak.
We used to use dart guns, so you could tell if you actually hit your opponents. (Otherwise, like in another “Peanuts” strip, it was nothing but “Bang! Bang! Bang!” “You missed!” “Did not!” “Did too!” And so forth……….)
I had a real toy gun when I was growing up. It was a six shooter that fired real plastic bullets. They looked like real bullets, it would fire quite a good distance.

When kids playing with guns were seen as working out their agressions, not as a threat.

Too bad… Kids can’t play cowboys shoot out anymore. Their parents would be arrested.

That must be a “good guy” with a gun the NRA’s always talking about.

Some of the kids around my neighborhood still play cops and robbers. Thank God they haven’t joined the PC Patrol!
