America’s royalty,….mmm, let me see…. Camelot-the Kennedys….remember them. Unfortunately, we do have an aristocratic population . These are your one thousand dollars and up-a plate fundraiser/charity attendees, held at the country clubs that the high salaried “working class” yes even Donald Trump, would never see the inside of. We call them “old money” in this country, and unless you are a Socialist, people strive to be in their midst.

Good point, well made. Have you ever watched the Peter O’Toole movie, “The Ruling Class?” I think you’d enjoy it. Incredible satire of the House of Lords among other things.

am not sure that anyone here knows what they are talking about. I know that i know little from aristocracy or royalty, but presume the former is more voluntary than the latter. And from what i am aware of, via media, it seems like actual royalty does work, they are involved with various functions and i would not want to have to be on display from birth, dress and behave a certain way, and there are charitable issues, and they seem to be in the military. Aristocracy seems to be about self image and perception of others like them, seeking status. I have the impression some royalty would prefer not to be stuck in it.

You would expect that, at some point, Zonker would have asked himself “Why am I bothering to study this utterly trivial nonsense when I never bothered to study actual knowledge?”, and would have simply stopped. How does one explain his obsessive desire for a false, useless, and entirely unearned title?

In December 2015, Godwin commented on the Nazi and fascist comparisons being made by several articles on Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, saying that “If you’re thoughtful about it and show some real awareness of history, go ahead and refer to Hitler or Nazis when you talk about Trump. Or any other politician.”13

Okay, I’m trying to fight my way through the fog to the essence here. Mike Godwin aside, because he’s just another human being with his opinion, my point was Donald Trump poses the greatest threat to our civil liberties and democratic institutions in our history and that his brand of intolerance, hate and fear mongering may lead to terrible consequences. You have not stated your views on this so please be so kind as to give us your views on the subject of Donald Trump and the future of our country if he were to be elected President.

This has certainly been an interesting dialogue. You’ve made me aware of Godwin (who despite his name is not a God but a human with his own opinions which he is entitled to but doesn’t mean anyone has to agree with), repeatedly referred to what you (or perhaps someone else) refers to as a “liberal fog” which may or may not be a real thing, and generally assumed a didactic and condescending tone as if what you are saying is fact and not opinion. Putting all that aside and getting back to squares, I offered an opinion about what I see as the possible terrible consequences of a Trump presidency and asked you the following question: “You have not stated your views on this so please be so kind as to give us your views on the subject of Donald Trump and the future of our country if he were to be elected President”. I don’t feel like you answered the question and so I’d like to repeat it and see if you can descend from the mount and give an honest, straightforward answer as to where this country would head if Trump were to be elected. Just your opinion please.
